Hailing from Chania, Greece, Alexandros’ passion for sailing was evident from a young age. In 1994 he graduated from the prestigious Lakis Kyriakidis sailing school, earning his open-seas skipper license. In 1995, Alexandros embarked on a captivating 5-month voyage across the Aegean and Ionian seas, covering an impressive distance of 1500 miles. This experience solidified his love for sailing and ignited his desire to explore further. Following his adventurous journey, Alexandros made his way to Zakynthos, Greece, in 1997. Since then, he has been captivating visitors as a skipper on daily cruises. With unwavering dedication and respect for the sea, Alexandros ensures unforgettable experiences for his guests. In 2006, Alexandros fulfilled his lifelong dream by becoming the skipper and co-owner of Soliton, an awe-inspiring 49 ft. Atlantic Sailing vessel. With Soliton as his trusted companion, he continues to craft unforgettable sailing experiences, combining his expertise as a skipper with the thrill of exploration. When the sailing season winds down, Alexandros embraces new challenges by organising and participating in vessel transportation. In 2001, he undertook an epic 1700-mile journey, transporting a sailboat from Zakynthos, Greece, all the way to Bremen, Germany including the river channel system. In 2003, he circumnavigated the picturesque island of Sicily, covering 1100 miles from Zakynthos to Italy. These feats showcase Alexandros’ skill and determination on the open waters. In 2015, Alexandros embarked on his most audacious adventure yet – crossing the Atlantic from Athens, Greece, to Martinique in the Caribbean. This monumental journey spanned a staggering distance of 5200 miles, further solidifying Alexandros’ reputation as a seasoned sailor. In recognition of his exceptional skills and dedication, Alexandros was awarded the prestigious “Master of Yacht” license from the esteemed ISSA International Sailing School in 2016. This accolade attests to his commitment to continuous learning and his profound understanding of the art of sailing.

Seine Leidenschaft zum Segeln spürte man ab der ersten Minute. Unterwegs konnten wir uns Getränke selbst holen und zur Mittagszeit bekam jeder ein Sandwich. Alex immer gut gelaunt und lächelnd brachte uns an wunderschöne Stellen wo mit Worten nicht zu beschreiben sind. Abseits von den überfüllten Touristenbooten kann ich jedem nur diese Tour empfehlen wenn man in Ruhe und in kleiner Runde einen super Tag erleben möchte. Wir hatten 8 erlebnisreiche Stunden dank Alex Wir wünschen Alex jeden Tag eine gebuchte Tour mit seinem Segelboot. Nochmals danke wir werden diesen Tag nie vergessen.

 Verified Ein schöner Tag wurde zu einem unvergesslichen Unvergesslicher Tag dank unserem super netten Skipper Alex. Immer ein Lächeln, hilfsbereit und gut gelaunt Er brachte uns an Stellen wo mit Worten nicht zu beschreiben sind man muss es persönlich gesehen haben.  Verified Fantastic Day -Private Charter We stumbled across Alex (@zakynthossailing) while wandering around the marina on our trip to Zakynthos, actively looking for a boat to take us to the shipwreck and the Blue Caves. As a family of eight, we wanted our own private charter — something more relaxed than being packed onto one of the bigger commercial boats with a crowd of strangers. It turned out to be the best decision of the holiday. The day was fantastic from start to finish, and Alex made it an experience we'll all remember. Highly recommended if you're after something personal - also at significantly cheaper cost than the bigger brand boats ..

 Verified Fabulous day out sailing We hired Alex and his boat for a private charter for the day. We had an excellent day out, Alex took us around the south coast to various swimming spots where the kids were able to snorkel (Alex provided the snorkels). It was a hugely enjoyable day, we felt very well looked after, safe and it was great value for money. We even got to see some turtles! We'll do it again if we return to Zante!

Thank you so much for your welcoming, fun and heartful character, aleks! With care, he brought us to the south of Zakynthos. They were by far the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The water was so blue, see through and breathtaking. Aleks had cold water for everyone, enough shadow to hide from the sun, more than enough places to sit and even swim masks for snorkeling, noodles to swim, and a sup board. We stopped at three places to which we could go for a swim. It was awesome. And he was kind enough to take beautiful pictures of us. I TOTALLY recommend!! I would even give 10 stars!  Verified Amazing experience Amazing experience on the Soliton today with Alex and Jessica. Alex is truly an amazing captain and no questions were ever to much hassle. He took us down the coast to different swim spots and areas of Zakynthos.Drinks (water, soft drinks, and beer) and gorgeous sandwich included! Welcome to take snacks onboard also. Swim floats and snorkel equipment available. We booked this via our Tui rep and only 7 people including us 2 were onboard which made the boat so spacious and luxurious. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to explore Zakynthos with a skipper who is worth his weight in gold. Thank you Alex!

 Verified Excellent full day sailing trip south of Zakynthos Alex, the friendly skipper of the Soliton, took care of an excellent sailing trip for a group of five consisting of grandparents, adult children and one grandchild. The baby could sleep inside the ship in a baby bed we brought ourselves. Chilled drinks (including beer and wine) and a good sandwich lunch were provided as well. The car could be parked very nearby on a large and almost empty parking lot (this was early May). Alex turned out to be a very capable navigator who took us to some very beautiful spots with seals and caves along the southern coast.

This was not my first time sailing on this boat and it will certainly not be my last.Alexandros is a amazing man and will give you the best experience of sailing on the cost of zakynthos.We hired the boat for a private trip for just our family as we said a final farewell to my father in-law using a biodegradable urn, Alexandros had so much respect and gave us all the time we needed at this time.During the trip like others you get to dive off the boat but his boat has one of the easiest ways to get on and off the boat and with the steps he has you don't have to dive into the water if you don't want too.
